Where you are right now is perfect

Are you striving and straining against the place you are in your life right now? Are you working too hard and thinking too much, such that sleep is hard to find and concentration is elusive? What if I told you that where you are right now is the perfect place for you to be?

You might be thinking, "Yeah, right Julie. Like I'm thrilled to be in this position." When I said you're in the perfect place I didn't say it was the most enjoyable place.

Step back for a moment and look at what's going on with you. Against what are you struggling? Outside pressures? Inner confusion? Lack of results from what you thought were sure-thing actions? Other people who aren't doing what you want them to do?

Perhaps it would be helpful to look at your current situation and consider what you're supposed to be learning from it. Have you been here before? Is this a lesson you didn't notice or tried to ignore the first half-dozen times it came around to you? How many times will you need to face this lesson before you can learn it and move on?

Next think about whether there's any productive action you can take. What different behavior on your part would generate different results? Are you ready to evolve to the next level? If not, what would help you feel ready?

Perhaps the only thing you can do right now is observe and try to uncover the meaning of whatever is happening with you. The big lessons don't always smack us upside the head - some of them whisper, so we need to be attentive to hear them. Maybe you need to rest here for awhile to weigh your options and summon your strength for whatever you choose to do next.
